Review

Archibald Thomas Robertson ( (1863-1934) is viewed as the most important Baptist New Testament scholar. Perhaps his most seminal work is the Word Pictures in the New Testament, published originally in six volumes, which is a hermeneutical commentary on the four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles and the Revelation. In this work, Robertson explains, verse by verse, the meaning and sense of the words and phrases, taking into account the context of the language in which the Scriptures were writen. Now, BibleMaximum offers this important and comprehensive work as a module for their BibleMax software. The module is fully interactive so, after installing it, you can open any Bible module installed previously in your core BibleMax program and select a particular verse of the New Testament, clicking on the corresponding hyperlink at the right; Robertson's commentary would appear automatically in the Comentaries window at right. (You can download a free copy of the core program at the developer's site; it contains the King James version of the Scriptures by default). Also, you can combine the view of the Bible version with this commentary and any other reference book you choose. If you want to obtain this useful and knowledgeable work, along with many Bible versions, commentaries, devotionals and other texts, you can order the free CD paying only the duplication, printing, postage and handling costs.
Advantages
  • Comprehensive.
  • Knowledgeable.
Disadvantages
  • It only works with BibleMax software.
  • Can be obtained only by ordering the free CD.
